Rotary hammer

B-3766 Available

A rotary hammer is like a cross between a hammer drill and a light-duty jackhammer for chiseling applications. It uses an SDS-plus bit system which means its chuck cannot accept standard drill or chisel bits - They must be compatible SDS bits. The tool library has a selection of SDS masonry bits available to borrow.

This loan includes the tool, three chisel tips, a secondary handle with built-in depth stop and two devices for removing debris in drilled holes.

This rotary hammer can operate in three different modes.
  1. The hammer+rotation setting is for drilling concrete, stone, brick, and masonry.
  2. The hammer-only setting is for light chipping applications with chisels.
  3. The rotation-only setting for drilling in wood, steel, and building materials with the optional chuck.
